The Naked Leader Test of Truly Authentic Leadership

If you were stripped of your job title, symbols and traits of office, would you still be able to get the very best from your people?

If you believe you could – how would you achieve this?

So, now you know how – ensure you demonstrate those traits regardless, every day, in all you do.

With my love and best wishes to you all.

  1. That is such a difficult one.
People seem to use you if you have a title. How do u gain respect when that is gone?
    I’m not sure I could.

  2. Agree, so many people live by their titles, very difficult to act in the same way towards someone who no longer has authority over you!

  3. I’m sure people often judge others with their rank.
So suddenly if someone was telling you to do something and they didn’t have those ‘pips on their shoulders’ it would be very difficult to obey.

  4. i think the title simply opens more doors. It means you don’t have to work as hard to get people’s attention. You have to work just as hard to keep it though, so being your authentic self, with or without titles, is fundamental. That way, when you have the title, people think “well, obviously, what else would she be?” And you can smile quietly to yourself and know you are infinitely more than any title could ever convey.
