These 7 Amazing Things Happen Just By Reading This…
Indeed, when you read or see anything – going to prove how amazing, agile and taken for granted are the talents that we already have – in this case, your eyes:
- You are actually decoding this with your brain, not your eyes. Your eyes function like a camera, capturing light and sending data back to the brain – which then gives it meaning, just as fast.
- If your eyes were a digital camera, each would have 576 megapixels – latest phones have 48.
- Your eyes are made up of over 2 million working parts.
- Your eyes focus on up to 50 different objects every second – so while reading this your peripheral vision will be taking in many other things.
- Your eyes can distinguish approximately 10 million different colors – I didn’t even know there were that many.
- Your optic nerve – apparently a bundle of nerve fibres – contains more than one million nerve cells – Who on earth counted them?
- Each eye is the fastest muscle in your body – hence, I assume, the phrase: “In the blink of an eye.”
