Be careful what you whinge for

The more you whinge, the more likely what you are whinging about will come true.

Because when you believe something to be true, you see the world in that way (your mind – i.e. you – cannot tell the difference between something that happens in reality and something you imagine with emotional intensity).

Focus on what you don’t want and you will get more of what you don’t want – the self-defeating spiral.

Focus on what you do want and you will get more of what you do want – the self-fulfilling spiral.

You understand I am not suggesting, advising or guiding which you focus on, that’s your choice.

With my love and best wishes

  1. There’s a certain whinger in F1 at the moment. He will probably get what he wants at the end of it though!

  2. This is so apposite. Whinging is a very negative activity and sends out a powerful, but negative, message to all of those around one; concentrate on the possible and the things which one can address for success.

  3. Moaners just bring people down. They grate and whine and eventually, the team can be affected.
So much better to be surrounded by uplifting people who inspire.

  4. Moaners can inspire too, to people who want to ensure they never become one of those people who think negatively all the time.
