Lead Me, Follow Me, or…

Being a Naked Leader is about setting a standard higher than anyone else could ever reasonably expect of us, taking 100% ownership of everything we say and do, and ultimately of making true decisions that lead to persistent action.

One of the biggest barriers to this is people who dither.

Can’t decide – won’t decide…

And while they choose to wait (for what, exactly?) we are expected to wait as well.

My advice to you is this – don’t.

And adopt a clear mantra for everyone you meet in business:

Lead me – show me the way (and I will follow)

Or:

Follow me – I will show you the way (please follow me if you choose)

That is not too much to ask, is it?

Of our managers, our bosses or our leaders.

Sadly, many of them do neither – so think about adopting this third one:

Get out of my way

Because life is too short, all round

Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way
