Persistence Pays Off…Eventually

Read Time: Ten Seconds (Persistence Time 28 years)

On Thursday 20 November, after 28 years of losing, Anthony Knott, amateur jockey, finally won a horse race.

With even his children poking fun at his persistence, he proved them wrong by winning the 2.30 at Wincanton in Somerset, England.

“I’m over the moon,” he said, “28 years is a long time to wait for a victory.”

Well done Anthony – your story will inspire others to keep going that little bit longer, I am sure.
