Curiosity

 Last week I discovered something I suppose I already knew, as an adult.

Children are more curious than we are.

I worked with 30 leaders from a large company, and asked them to come up with as many practical uses for a paperclip, as they could think, in 30 minutes. We had 74 different ideas.

That afternoon I visited a school, defined as a “sink” school (very inspiring). I spoke with a class of 28, all 11/12 years old, and asked them to come up with as many practical uses for a paperclip, as they could think, in 30 minutes. How many did they come up with?

Curious indeed – when do we lose that curiosity?
