Thank you to Loreen Herzig, Head of IT and Innovation at our Client Partner, Watford Community Housing Trust for this wonderful story:

Something happened yesterday that made me think of you so I thought I’d share it.

When I got home after work, my two year old son (three in December), Alexander, was very excitable and wanted to play and read books. It’s a great way to switch off at the end of a long day so I was more than happy to agree.

He picked out ‘Jungle Book’, his absolute favourite. And so we read, pointed and talked all over each other. At the end of the story, he looked at me and said: “Mummy, can you do whatever you want?”

I thought ‘Wow, what a great opportunity this little boy has just given me. I can now motivate and instil confidence with just one sentence.’

So I smiled at him and said: “Yes, darling, I can do whatever I want and so can you.”

He replied with: “Well, you can’t do magic…” and walked off.

Hope this makes you smile.

Loreen

It did Loreen, it did.

Let’s all take every opportunity we have to motivate and instil confidence whenever we can – just as Loreen did.
With my love and best wishes to Alexander, Loreen and you all

David
