  1. Thanks for sharing, shedding a tear on a Monday morning to something as beautiful as Billy Elliot and the pride and emotion expressed so brilliantly is always worthwhile. I love Cinderella man, the scene where he dreams of a meal he ate so his children can eat some food. We have a mind and it can be awe inspiring when we use it completely. Love Tom

  2. Most recent and although not a film, the truly inspiring BBC2 drama “Marvellous”; the life story of Neil Baldwin who overcame learning difficulties to do everything he set out to do but most of all, to be happy.

  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_Vg4uyYwEk

    You need to watch the scene for maximum impact, but;

“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”

  4. Using the Force when Yoda effortlessly frees the X-Wing from the bog. I love the personal development and wisdom on patience and Servant Leadership Yoda always brings.

    Luke: I don’t believe it.
Yoda: That is why you fail.

      • How about a I buy you a coffee December ? Feel the force

  5. 3 inspiring files include:
Spirited Away – about a young girl’s adventure in an unknown place.
It’s a Wonderful Life – about how one man’s life has made a difference to others.
Naruto Shippuden films – The message in the films about changing fate and persevering no matter the odds.

    • Thanks Andy don’t know 1 or 3 will watch them now, Wonderful Life so nearly made my list, thank you for reminding us all of such a timeless film David

      • I would also include Monsters Inc and Ratatouie, which show how you have the difference to make a workplace fun and get more productivity than a workplace of fear.

Ratatouie was also good because it gives the message about someone who does not stop focusing on their goals.

Also the message in the Back to the Future films stating:

“If you put your mind to something, you can accomplish anything” – A classic

  6. There’s just one for me….

The Shawshank Redemption, final scene, on the beach…simply the best film ending EVER.

    • My favourite film of all time, Sohail – and I recently discovered they added that final scene after showing the film to test audiences. It originally ended with the bus disappearing over the hill.

  7. Agreed, Shawshank inspring, also My Cousin Vinny, such a a lift from someone who doesn’t know how to be a lawyer and then becomes one through sheer determination, as well as Jungle Book. I want to me like you hoo hoo. Great lyrics and means you can be anything or anyone you want to be.

  8. Dirty Dancing…affected me hugley inspirationally.
Romancing the Stone and Crocodile Dundee are others that spring to mind.
    Also Gravity.

  9. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, brilliant inspiring to someone who loves a con like I do. Super acting too.
    Rocky…the original.
And The Italian Job…so nearly got away with it.

  10. Intrigued by some of the film choices on here, Crocodile Dundee!!??
Inspiration comes from the heart and so films that really touch that part of your sould are the ones that ruly inspire.
‘Sliding Doors’ for me as it shows you there are choices to be made, things that happen in all our lives which could be different, if we choose to make them different.

    • Favourites are very personal – I love “Forbidden Kingdom” and don’t know anyone else who does! Sliding Doors really illustrates choices. thanks Robert David
