TRUST your people 100%. It’s up to you to earn their trust, based on who you are, what you do and what you say, in that order of impact, and make sure all are consistent.
It’s up to your team to lose your trust – and when they start to do so, tell them in private and show them how they can win it back.

I think you have to do something special and work with your people to earn their respect. I’ve done that in the past and I like the people I work with to earn my respect too.
Earning respect is not always easy. Buying people’s respect hasn’t worked for me in the past. Hard work and leading from the front has.
If you work honestly, with integrity and you have a good relationship with people and they can see you are doing a good job, they will respect you.
If you don’t lead by example what have they got to respect?
Trust is a two-way thing. You have to rely on your colleagues and in turn, they will come to rely on you if you run your business the right way.
