Naked Leader Week 920 – 26 April 2021

Time to read: 63 seconds

Please, picture the scene:

It’s my daughter Olivia’s first week at work – I won’t name the company – and one thing is causing her more confusion than anything else:

TLAs

Three letter Acronyms – or TBF, any number of letter acronyms

So, she decided to do something about it. Sitting in one particular meeting, after hearing an acronym she hadn’t heard before, she asked:

“Excuse me – I’m new here – what does that mean please?”

The leader who used the term politely told her

Olivia thanked him

Then someone else in the room said:

“No, it doesn’t” and provided an alternative meaning!

So, next time you are in a room – or Zoom – and someone uses an Acronym – or indeed, says anything that you don’t understand, ask…

The meeting will go quiet, during which you may feel slightly embarrassed. Have no fear though, everyone else will think you are a hero

With my love and best wishes to you all

David
