5 Awkward Questions I Was Asked as Father Christmas…

I wasn’t the REAL Santa Claus you understand – he was too busy – I was just a stand in for a local Junior School nativity day – children aged 3 to 12.

Q: “My friend says you’re not real.”

A: “Well… Christmas is real. Kindness is real. Giving is real. And you are doing a great job of looking out for the younger ones”

Q: “How do you get into houses without chimneys?”

A: “Ahhh… magic doors. They only appear for Father Christmas — and only on Christmas Eve.”

Q: “Do you know my name?”

A: ““Of course I do… but I like it when children tell me themselves. It’s more polite.”

Q: “I know it’s just parents”

A: “Parents, and Elves, do a lot of the work – and the magic too”

Q: “Can I sit on your lap?”

A: “Wouldn’t you rather hear a story instead?”
