A Royal Week with The Kings Trust

I was privileged to spend every day last week with The Kings Trust, having helped raise money for them in Australia with Veolia, who provided gainful employment for young indigenous Australians.

Kings Trust Australia and New Zealand were across to join in the celebrations of The King’s Charity anniversary.

For 50 years, The King’s Trust has transformed lives — but one myth remains: many people believe King Charles personally funds it. He doesn’t. The Trust survives because of volunteers, supporters, businesses, mentors, and fundraisers across the world.

It’s true he did fund it at the very start – Prince Charles using £7,600 of Navy severance pay has now helped more than 1.3 million young people into education, employment, training and enterprise. Over 92,000 young people have been supported to start businesses, and three in four participants move into positive outcomes. Its social impact is now estimated at £11.4 billion to UK society. Fifty years. Millions of futures have changed.
