Round And Round The Mulberry Bush

From a CEO… ”Hi David, can anyone in your network help us solve our Mulberry Bush problem?”

Before I returned the call, I checked out what that might mean, and rediscovered my childhood in the process:

‘Here we go round the Mulberry Bush,
The Mulberry Bush,
The Mulberry Bush…’
 
On the call back she explained:

“Whenever we have a problem or an issue or even an opportunity, we discuss it, debate it, and dissect it – we are really good at that. Then we start that process again – it’s a bit like we are walking round and round and round the mulberry bush hoping it will suddenly turn into an apple tree, or start shedding oranges…”

My advice: Do Something – yes, Do Something – Anything and if it works…great if it doesn’t then do something else etc.

Or of course, keep going round the Mulberry Bush
