Why Behaviour is Everything

Thank you for the brilliant feedback on my behaviour blogs.

Three comments particularly caught my attention:

‘Behaviour isn’t an outcome by itself.’

‘Traditional consultancies hardly mention it.’

‘You’re putting people before technology.’

I agree with all three – and I believe behaviour is everything for one reason:

Get behaviour right and you are guaranteed to achieve ANY outcome you choose.

Think about that –

When your people actively choose to do what your organisation really needs them to do, everything else becomes noise:

Strategy.

Process.

Technology.

Systems.

AI.

All of these can help your organisation do things – behaviour determines whether people actually choose to do them or not.

Your collective behaviour is what turns all of them into outcomes.

And when you do, you achieve your outcomes, become a self-leading organisation, and make your competitors irrelevant.

Because you won’t have any.
