1. Meeting pre-reads – state the subject as the desired outcome in the headline then 3 bulleted points – under 20 words each – The Issue, The Solution, The Benefit. Attach the usual multiple of pages as an appendix or save yourself the bother as people won’t read them anyway
2. When sending an email or message be 100% clear what you want the receiver to DO, if anything.
3. Arrive at the point in formal and informal meetings – avoid the usual ‘dance around the big issue’ and bring that elephant in the room – properly, politely and professionally.
